SEM1000 Series Process Signal Isolators
The SEM1000 series of loop powered analogue signal isolators comprise versions that are suitable for most applications, regardless of whether the loop power is available at the input or output side of the isolator.
The SEM1000 series of loop powered analogue signal isolators comprise versions that are suitable for most applications, regardless of whether the loop power is available at the input or output side of the isolator.
SEM1000 is designed to be inserted in an existing 4 to 20 mA loop and provides an isolated 4 to 20 mA signal driving into a load up to 500 ohm. Typical applications - PLC's often have high level non-isolated inputs. Inserting the SEM1000 into an existing powered (4-20mA) loop provides a simple low cost means of complete signal isolation.

SEM1015 provides an isolated 4 to 20 mA output from a voltage input. Model SEM 1015 Subtractor (non-isolated) is a frequent requirement to provide a different output from two (4-20mA) transmitters. (4-20mA) = A - B. SEM1015 Adder (non-isolated) provides an output proportional to the sum of two input signals. (4-20mA) = A + B.

SEM1010 is designed to provide an isolation barrier between a field mounted (4-20mA) transmitter and the process monitoring system. The isolated output is a two wire 4 to 20 mA current sink. The SEM1010 derives it's power from the output loop.
Price: £89.25
SEM1020 is a low cost isolator that requires power on both sides of the isolation barrier. In certain applications there can be a number of devices in a loop, each requiring some volts from the loop. Often there is a requirement for more volts than the loop can supply. By using the SEM1020 low cost isolator an additional load up to 900 ohm can be driven from a single 24V supply.
